- 1/3 cup dried, unsweetened coconut flakes
- Dash of black pepper.
- Olive oil
- 2 oranges
- 1 inch piece ginger
- 6 - 8 inches fresh turmeric root
- Sparkling water
Grind coconut in food processor to a fine shred then add the black pepper and pulse once or twice to mix well. Put in a flat bottomed dish.
To rim the glass, moisten the rim with olive oil and then dip into the coconut pepper mixture. Once upright, put about ¼ - ½ teaspoon of olive oil in each glass.
According to your juicer’s instructions juice oranges ginger and turmeric. Pour into rimmed glass adding ice as desired. Mix well with a spoon to distribute the olive oil. Top with sparkling water. Add additional black pepper to taste.
